I write news stories for Engadget 5 days a week for about 4 hours per day. That gives me plenty of time to learn more than I ever thought I could about the current goings on in science, tech, gaming, and entertainment. I began writing for the Oath (AOL)-owned site back in February of 2017 after a pretty extensive interview process. While most of my work is basic tech news reporting, I have been able to dig a little deeper on some stories and move into reviews. Here are a few of my favorite stories for Engadget.
- Fender’s Mustang GT amps pack an overkill of digital options
– As a gigging guitarist, I loved being to take this amp with me on stage and putting it through its paces. Super fun.
- George Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’ will soon be a video game – I originally wrote this up as a bog-standard “game release” post, but the lead developer’s answers to my email were so good I got to rewrite it as something much more interesting.
- This neural network generates weird and adorable pickup lines – Sometimes we have to write about the weirdest things. This researcher has been using neural networks to come up with off the wall lists, and this one was adorable.
